Life without Mommy Part 4

Today the Steiner house returned to its normal decibel output as the kids came home later in the afternoon. I did get another (and most likely the last for this week) bike ride in this morning, this time opting for Dan's Trail in Corvallis (and it's not my trail) with a few students and another Cause leader. It also included an unscheduled visit to see my brother Mike at Bike and Hike because one of the students' chain broke about 1/4 mile into the ride and he was able to fix it. They thought it would be funny if there was a guy named Ike that worked with Mike because that would mean "Mike 'n Ike at Bike 'n Hike". Clever.

Upon picking up the kids the sounds of "harmonious chatter" filled the car all the way home. The topic of conversation centered upon a special ring that Micah made in Sunday school. I won't bore you with the rest of the details other than to say it has now been put in a very safe place where no one can ever again disagree as to who gets to wear it. Tragic.

Brownie didn't do so well on her own today. Two number two's and one number one along with some chewed up faux wood blinds won't go over well with the Mrs. Maybe she won't notice when she gets home. Right.
