Life without Mommy Part 2

Day 2 was pretty simple for me as I only had to get the kiddos out the door by 9:00 to head down to Albany and drop them off at Jill and Nolan's (Note: increased respect for Anna getting all three of them out the door to church by 9:00 on a Sunday morning...and I didn't even have to pack their bags as she had already done it before leaving for Mexico!). They offered to watch them for me through Monday (thank you very much for your generosity!). I then headed down to Oakridge to check out some new places to go mountain biking. It was a much longer drive than I anticipated but was well worth it as there was a very challenging technical trail along the middle fork of the Willamette River. It will be fun to head back sometime to explore more in the area, but will probably have to be done as an extended camping trip because it is hard to justify the drive for a quick afternoon ride.
I did get a report from Jill that the kids are doing well. They enjoyed a new slip 'n' slide in the afternoon heat. Oh, and how did Brownie do? I let her roam the house while I was gone and she didn't eat anything (including Cami's diapers) or use the floor as a restroom. She's turning out to be a pretty good dog.

I did hear last night that Anna and the rest of the group made it safely to Mexico. You can find a link to their trip blog on the right. It will be updated by one of the members of their trip as often as they can manage.

Beautiful photos, Dan! Glad you got some time for you to enjoy. It looks like the kiddos had a great time with Auntie Jill and Uncle Nolan!
