Happy 4th of July all! But yah I know it's actually the 6th now and I am late on bloggin' the 4th...so here it is...we had a full day of activities...a race, bbq, and fireworks! Here's our day...
My friend Erin and I went out to Stayton with our families and Dan's parents to run in a race on the 4th of July morning...we did the 3 k...this is our 2nd race now, I actually haven't even blogged about our first one, which was actually a 5 k...But anyways, it started at 9 a.m. and it was already a hot morning! I'm thankful we didn't end up doing the 10 k!
Here is Avery and Josiah racing...not sure where Allie and Cami are...oh and Micah is way back! :) They were having their own race!
The kids cheering for us when we raced through the finish line! Erin was a bit ahead of me towards the end...but all in all we did pretty well for the 3 k. It's been great to have a couple challenges to look forward to doing, and it's something we can really push ourselves to do! Our goal is a 5 mile run in October in Portland!

Grandpa and Grandma (Dan's parents) with Cami! They came and cheered us on! Then went and watched Mike at his bike race! Thanks for cheering us on!
After a SCRUMPTIOUS BBQ at our house with Nolan, Jill, Dan's parents, Tim and our little family we headed out to Independence with us all and got to our spot on the river bank, thanks to Nolan and Jill who went out early and reserved! And now for the fireworks...

They were awesome!
'Si in his sleeping bag waiting for the fireworks to begin...he plugged his ears the entire time of the fireworks...but he LOVED them!
Dan's parents, we had to wait I think like an hour and half for them to begin...there were a ton of people there, and we had to walk quite a ways...we didn't get home til 11;45 p.m. it was a late night and we had to be up early the next morning for church and to see DAn's parents and brother off!
We had a wonderful evening...and now back to normal life...:)
