August 11th couldn't have come quick enough for the kids and myself as we were eagerly awaiting Dan's arrival home from the Czech Republic! Thankfully the team made it home safely and they had a wonderful trip! Then on Friday the 13th our family and the Hansen family headed down to Cambria, CA to spend a week at Dan's grandparents beach house...16 long hours we arrived safely there! Tired, but ready to do some relaxing!
The boys and dads did some rocking climbing, this is something Dan and his siblings grew up doing with their dad every year they went to the beach house! So fun to make the same memories! :) (L-R) Max, Josiah, Micah and David
Cambria watching the big kids out in the water...it was a windy day...thankfully it got much warmer as the week went on!
The lIttle Stinkerbell got into my makeup one morning...I sure hope I don't look like that when I do my make-up...:) she needs a lil practice, but a long time from now!
Both of our families headed into town to do a lil looking and shopping..most shops are NOT kid friendly...notice the sign above Micah in the window! :)
David gave the kids rides on the boogie board through the lil river that was at the beach area! They LOVED it! Max and David were so good with our kids and it was so much fun to have that interaction time for them all!
Mommy boogie boarding! The water was cold, but it was so fun! I haven't done that since I was in highschool!
Lovin' California! And excited that an old mama like myself got out there and boogie boarded. Oh and I was sore the next day! :)
On the 19th just our family headed over to Dan's grandparents house in Visalia, and the Hansen's headed back to Oregon. Grandma had got Josiah a delish cake for his bday, so he got to celebrate his bday some more! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! :)

AFter spending time with Grandpa and Uncle Tom we all headed over to Dan's Aunt Nancy and Uncle Jim's home...where did a lil Wii dancing game! It was a hoot watching us all dance around like monkeys!
Uncle Tom and Aunt Nancy!
Sunday we spent the afternoon at Becky and Nate's home, played games, vegged and just enjoyed spending time with the family!
Here's sweet lil Cannon (Becky and Nate's lil guy!)He is super sweet and kissable!

Oh, I love each and every one of these pictures!!!! It is so fun to see your family doing all the wonderful things at the ocean house...just like we used to do...now a new generation. It would be fun for you and me to each do a scrapbook of each family's time and compare! I know, it would be a great idea!!! We'll see if it happens:)So many memories. You guys are tough...our kids used to wear wet suits to boogie board. Way to go, Anna! Fun to see the Visalia pics, too. Thanks for posting!
I love all the pictures! It's so fun to see the memories you're making... especially knowing how much I love my memories from those trips to California!
