Caught the sun bug

Lovin' the pink cheeks, tan lines, popscicles dribbling down tummies...all because we caught the SUN BUG! And we hope it stays...just not in the 90's!

I just don't understand why it's so hard to sit down and plug in the camera, download the pics and then blog about it...it really shouldn't take very long, but it does, which is why I get so behind on blogging! No wonder nobody looks at our blog anymore! :)

What's been going on in the Steiner household...Dan and Josiah returned from Arizona mission trip on July 4th...thankfully safe and sound! We have been to the beach, trying to stay cool, and just being a family! :) Here are some pics from when Dan and 'Si were gone and through this last weekend.

Ok, so I know this has nothing to do with summer...but I finally found a comforter/quilt for Cami's bed...so now it's complete! Now I just need to find a trundle bed to go under her bed!
She loves her Pink room!

Our front porch...our flowers that have been growing like crazy! And my two green chairs that were a steal of a deal! I just found a cute wooden table at a garage sale that is my next project to fix up and put between them...then get me some lemonade and I will sip it and enjoy the kids playing in the front yard!

Way back on June 29th we got invited with some friends to go to Illahe Golf Course to their 4th celebration, and since Dan and 'Si were gone we needed to get out and have some fun!
They had face-painting, games, music and fireworks!

Here is Cami and her pretty flower!

Some yummy candy...

Micah and Ryder

DANCE party! The kids were hilarious to watch boogie! It was so fun! I wish I had got some video footage!

An awesome fireworks display...which Cami did NOT appreciate! So she hid under the blanket the whole time...just like shown in the picture!

4th of JULY
We again got invited by the Piper family to go to the Monmouth parade,
got them some lots of candy and had a great time!

They have a kids parade at the beginning so we walked/rode in it with our friends' kids! They had a blast! Anybody can be in it! So fun!

Ashlyn and Cami

Cami and Micah watching the beginning of the big parade...
Then after the parade we headed back to the Piper's had a bbq, then went to the Acker's who were also sweet to invite to another bbq to hang out there, which I didn't get any pics of, sorry! After that we got to go to the church to meet the Arizona team! It was great to get my hubby and son back! :) Of course the evening was not complete without some sibling fighting! :)

Tuesday we got the privilege of babysitting our nephew Jace...
He's growing so fast! The kids LOVE LOVE LOVE him!

Such a big cousin- always wanting to help with him!

After we babysat Jace we headed to a pool in Albany with Kelsie and her kids, and had asked Hannah and Heather to come help us with our 6 kids...it was super fun, but there were a TON of people there! H & H were a HUGE help to us! Thanks you guys!

Two buds
Ryder and 'Siah

Hannah holding Boston and Heather holding Carly the two twins...
they had had enough...after almost 3 hours of being there!
Oh and Micah huddled in the green towel next to Hannah!

Kelsie and Boston

Heather and Cami
(she also was having a great time, they just weren't in the mood to smile I guess!)

Hannah and Micah Man
(he really was happy, he was having a great time!)

'Siah went down the huge yellow slide all by himself....

This last Friday we decided to head to the beach to get away from the heat...and so glad we did! We spent the day at Neskowin...it's an awesome beach and wasn't even busy! We persuaded my mom to come with us...wasn't very hard to get her to come and so glad we did, since she has been working so hard at home! We had no time limit and didn't get home til 9 p.m. it was a FULL day; sand, shopping, geo-caching, and Mo's!What more does a person need!

Our lil pyramid

Lovin' the beach...much better than 98 degrees in Salem!

Grandma (my mom) and Cami

Oh sweet...mischievous Micah

We watched our friends' 3 kids Saturday night and it was
Feelin' like we had 3 sets of twins...
Gotta have some water fun! They would have played in it all night if we would have let them!

Got em some popsicles...

Mister Handsome...

These two Cami and Hayden are only a week apart in age...they are so cute!
His parents told me that when you ask Hayden who he is going to marry he responds "Cami!"

I know, your all thinking are you done already Anna...yes I am! :) Phew! That only took another hour of my evening...and shoot those clothes are STILL waiting to be folded...

I wondered about those green chairs the other day! So cute!! Your July 4th pics reminded me of last year when we ran in that race together. It's so great to have friends to spend holidays with!

Ok, so look at the picture of Cami with the stars on the side of her face.....she looks like Dan in that pic.
Lots of neat pictures, Anna, and thanks for inviting me to the coast. It was a fun day and next time I'll put sunscreen on my feet and legs. :-)
