Elk wear diapers!

The other night we (Dan and sons) were watching a show on the Discovery channel about life in Yellowstone National Park and part of it featured information about elk. It was a great male bonding time as my two young men were fascinated by the male elk battling for domination of the herd. We were having a good age appropriate discussion about what was going on when all of a sudden Micah cried out, "Hey! Elk wear diapers!" I was a little confused but soon understood what he was talking about as he ran to the TV and pointed to the backside of one of the cows (that's what the females are called...I have inserted a picture below for you to see why he made this connection). The manly factor took a slight dive at that point but we still had a good guy time.
