Yesterday we headed up to the Oregon Zoo for the day; taking advantage of $2 Tuesday. We thought this would be Josiah's first time at the zoo, then we remembered that Jill had taken him a few years ago. It was Micah's and Cami's first time, though. The kids LOVED it. Josiah acted like such a little explorer; demanding to hold the map and direct us to the next animals to look at. Micah just kind of went with the flow and made a habit of standing directly in front of kids that were already at the view points looking at the animals. Cami was the mellowest of all as she slept a considerable amount of time in the stroller. Some of the highlights were seeing the elephants take a bath, riding the Washington Park train, and watching a bird show. It didn't hurt that the weather was beautiful, too.
Here the three kiddos are posing in front of a John Deere tractor at the farm area.
Micah watching the orangutan play with a bed sheet. When we got there he had a t-shirt on but took it off and put a bed sheet on like a cape.
The elephants were going through their morning exercises. See the video below of them taking a bath.
Micah was fascinated by how big the hippos were.

I love how some things never change. When I took Josiah two years ago he had to hold the map then as well! Such cute pictures!
