Taking down the tree

So Dan decided we should take the maple tree down in our back yard...It's been getting pretty big and then growing into the huge 4 cedars we have and just sorta in an awkard place. So we've been thinking about getting it down and so he decided to start on Sunday afternoon...all of a sudden a wind of energy came through him or something because he had a long morning at church so I thought he was tired! Guess not! So right now it looks really funny because there are barely any branches on it and it's just the trunk sticking up. We don't have a chain saw so we couldn't get it all the way down with the hand saw. And I'm not strong enough to help get it down by holding the rope. Dan was being very protective because he didn't want me getting hurt...I really wanted to do it...but I'm thankful that he is so protective of me! :0 ) So hopefully we'll get the rest of it down sometime soon! We'll see! :)


Here's 'Si playing in the cedar trees...he actually kinda freaked out because he said a spider was on his leg...so he started screaming! I was laughing...I don't know if there actually a spider because there are a bunch of pine needles over there and I have a feeling that one of them brushed up on his leg! Oh well. He calmed down after awhile...but I don't know if he'll go over there to play for a lil while now! At least it wasn't a snake though. Because when Dan and I were out on the deck earlier Dan told me to go inside, and I said, 'why.." then I looked over and on the ground over by the Lilac tree there was a garter snake...and I pretty much freaked out...I didn't scream though! Dan was a gentleman and took care of it, and did not pick it up and scare me more! YUCK!!! So i guess I can't really give 'Siah a hard time..but I think snakes are much nastier than spiders! Don't you agree? :)
