On Thursday Jill, Dan, Me, 'Si, Micah and CAmi all headed to Astoria to meet up with Dan's parents and Tim. Tim was on the 'Eagle" coast guard ship for the past month, and it was stopping in Astoria for him to be done on it. Dan's parents were able to actually ride into port on it, after a smaller coast guard ship took them out to the big ship. We arrived a lil later so we didn't see it actually pull in, but of course we still got to see it. We got to take a short tour of the ship which was pretty cool, most of us hadn't been on a ship, especially that big! And what an experience for the boys to see!
Here's Jill and 'Siah in the car taking off for our trip...of course we had to stop by Starbucks for drinks, special chocolate milk for the boys, and McDonald's for Dan's breakfast. Then we were off! It took almost 3 hours to get there...the kids did so good on the way!
Micah and his cool glasses!
Here's Dan's parents and Uncle Tim waving to us from aboard the ship! When Micah saw Tim he said, "MIKE!" really loud! It was cute, even though it wasn't! :)
Here's a full view of the ship! Isn't it beautiful! It's been around a long time, I don't remember exactly how long, but if you ask Dan he'd know...I am not a history buff!
Siah and Grandpa giving a hug for the first time after 6 months...we hadn't seen Dan's dad since Christmas! What a sweet time!
There will be more pics following this blog...I just have to get the time to do it!
