Weekend away with the girls!

So, the picture I am posting is the kids and I with Great Grandpa Imbach when we were in Cali...it's a special picture and I wanted to post it...but it doesn't have anything to do with the weekend away...

On Friday Cambria and I left to go to the Women's Retreat at the beach with our church...my friend Emily drove us along with Wendy. Although the weekend didn't start off too great for Dan because Thursday night Micah started puking around 11 p.m. Poor kid...he couldn't keep anything down after that - liquid that is...so poor Dan was up with him till 2 a.m. Then Friday morning he still couldn't keep anything down...Emily said to give him a tablespoon of water every hour and that helped. Then he got a fever the rest of the day Friday...and now it's out the other end...sigh...never ending. Dan was supposed to have the guys from our small group over Friday night and hang out but that of course did not happen...at least at our house! I felt bad leaving him with a sick kid...but i hate puke anyways...so I wasn't much help! So we went shopping at the outlets on Friday and SAturday...found some awesome deals! Especially for the kiddos...not so much for myself though! I had a good time and I am soooo thankful for all my friends that helped me out with Cambria...you know who you are! (if they are reading this)...Saturday afternoon though she started getting really fussy and didn't really want to eat and had an upset tummy and I think was just a lil overstimulated by everything...and everybody holding her...so we missed the evening session and went to our room around 8 p.m. she finally quit crying, ate, burped up like 5 times and fell fast asleep till 6 a.m.! I slept so great. It was amazing! Sunday morning during session she still was having a hard time so my friend Rachel and I decided to take off early to go home...she slept most of the way home except for the last 20-30 minutes she cried. OH it was soooo good to get home! It was a good weekend, but I'm glad I'll never have to take a baby again! :) It was a lot of work and of course I had to have a few crying sessions in the hotel room...especially when I called Dan, something about hearing your hubby's voice that just got me all choked up! :) Well, thanks to my friends that helped I really appreciate you all...and maybe next year I'll have a lil more fun! :) Oh yah and today (Monday) Cambria's still sleeping for her morning nap...I think she's EXHAUSTED! :) I love her so much, it'll be fun when she's actually old enough to do things!
