First grade...wow! Just taking Josiah's picture by the front door brings back a flood of memories to me when my mom used to take our picture by the front door! This year I decided to take one on the first day and then one on the last day...in the same spot, so I can see how much he has grown!
To start the day off Josiah woke up at 6 a.m...of course he had a hard time going to sleep last nite too...I don't think he fell asleep til after 9:30 p.m. When I woke up at 7 to get ready he was already on the couch cuddled up and very excited! I thought it would be fun to have chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast for his 1st day of school...now we've learned that to make something special for breakfast won't get eaten because he was too excited and then only wanted cereal...and then only ate a few bites of that! Oh well...next year I will save them for maybe two days after school starts! Then he might enjoy them more! But I will make his favorite dinner tonight for a surprise!
Micah and I walked Josiah into school and he got all situated...he was smiling when we left, but I could tell he was a tad on the nervous side! We love the little guy so much, he will do great!
When Micah and I left, Micah said, "Mom, I am not going to miss Josiah!" Haha...we'll see how long that lasts! :)
OUR 1st GRADER!!
The bros...(I asked Micah to put his leg down, but he said, "No mom, this is cool!")

Awwww...so cute! All the new traditions begin! Chocolate chip cookies after school were my thing! So sweet of Micah to say he would miss Josiah! And his knee...too funny! Hope Joe has a great day!!!!Big sigh!
they're so cute! Love the front door pictures. We have those for every special occasion in our photo albums :-). Micah cracks me up. I had no idea bout the leg fad. I guess I'll have to let Dave know so he can be cool with the kids at church!
He's growing up so fast!! I can't believe he's in 1st grade. He doesn't look too nervous and I'm sure when he gets home he'll be full of stories. Too funny about Micah and his knee! Oh the things they think of. :)
When did Josiah start looking so old? What a great way to start first grade... and I, too, find Micah's leg very funny :)
oops! I re-read your post and realized...thanks to Uncle Tim's correcting me...that Micah was not going to miss Josiah!!!
