This and that...Odds and ends...!

Haven't blogged in awhile...noticed a lot of other people haven't either lately (no I'm not trying to make anyone feel guilty!). Busy schedules...school, work, church, being sick, and many other activities consume a lot of our lives...so here is a TIME -OUT for our family to update on what's been happening since the last time I blogged. The kids are back to being healthy now, thank You Lord! The weather is getting colder by the day...crisp, and sunny though! Leaves are falling...falling...falling and it just makes me so thankful for God's creation when I look around and can enjoy the fall scenes with my children! Josiah asking, "so when it's fall the leaves fall right?" "Why do the leaves change color?" So many questions going around and around in their little minds! He has been learning so much at Kindergarten...that's the way it should be! He's learning sign language as I found out his teacher taught sign language at her old school she was at! He's always so excited to share daily what he learns...unless he's really tired!

Micah is busy trying to not take naps...but ends up falling asleep 1/2 hour until I have to go pick up the kids from school...then is even grumpier than before! But there are some days when he is so tired he doesn't fight it...of course I enjoy those days when it's quiet and I can have my quiet time...much needed most days!

This weekend was full of activities...I thought at the end of Sept it would slow down with activities...but it hasn't and October has begun and heading in another busy month!  Yesterday I was supposed to go to a wedding, but Dan and I decided spontanously to head to the beach (thanks for the idea Carissa and David), since the weather was supposed to be nice...so I skipped out on the wedding, sad I know, but we really needed to spend the day as a family and it was so worth it!  The weather was GORGEOUS at the beach and we just really enjoyed our time together!

Stopped at the community center in Lincoln City and got a "geocaching passport"...it was like a scavenger hunt and took us all over Lincoln City and had to answer the questions then at the end when we were finished we got a special coin for completing it...just a fun way to explore, found a really fun castle playground, and of course spent some time in the sand!

Here is our stop at the beach...

Cami...Loved the sand...she ate a few handfuls...I just don't get what tastes so good about the sand?

Dan and his GPS...birthday gift that he got early...he is really into geocaching...and likes to take the boys around to do it too! :)

'Siah had a great time climbing on the rocks, stopping but for a moment to pose...
Cami...on the go...
Love this pic...
Tried...that's right tried to get a pic of all 3 kiddos...poor Cami...:)
Me and my lil lady...
Micah...in deep thought while walking in the sand...
Crazy lil man..
Lil Lady...hard to believe she'll be two soon!
We stopped by my favorite candy store...I haven't been there in a very long time and haven't taken the kids there before, so they each got a special candy and we got my favorite, Peanut Butter Chocolate...delish!
Cami got her own few pieces of candy too...although she would have rather had her bros lollipops...
Such a wonderful day there, and of course ended the day with a lil shopping at the outlets!  :)  Can't wait for the next time to spend the day with the family!

FRIDAY NIGHT....it is 80's night...
Dan and I got invited to a friend's 40th bday party and it was 80's theme...Dan and I were the youngest there...and since we were born in 80 Dan wore pj's (thanks David for letting us borrow them) and was a "baby", I was also going to dress in footie pj's but couldn't find any, so I just dressed 80's and crimped the hair...pretty good for not remembering the 80's!  Fun night!

Wed. Morning...a lil snuggle time with Daddy...love this man and how he loves his kids and me too!

This lil lady is REALLy getting into doll playing...loves to lay them out and cover them up, carry them around...being a lil mommy!

Last Sunday we had a highschool activity with our highschool home group, this is some of us in a picture that we took for our scavenger hunt with the GPS we had to use...we had to act out a scene...

Saturday Dan had a golf tournament and then after in the later afternoon we had our friend's the Goltiao's over to do a lil geocaching...they wanted to see what it was all about, so we headed out all the boys in one car and us girls in another since we couldn't all fit ini the same one...we had a great time enjoying time with them...they were some of our first friends when we started going to our church almost 8 years ago! Their kids were so nice and played Star Wars and dolls with our kids...our kids loved it too!  And fun for us adults to catch up! Thanks for the fun time!
A little blurry...but it's one of the twins and Josiah...running out from finding a cache.
Cami exploring while the others tromped in the field to find the cache.
Always busy...
Black eye Micah...had a lil accident...my fault...awful...I know... a book shelf fell on him...I had moved it and we hadn't secured it to the wall yet, and he pushed on it, thankfully it wasn't anything worse...poor kid! :(I feel soooo bad!
Looking a lil worse...or better?  I'm not quite sure...this happened two weeks ago I believe!
Well, there ya go...our happenings of the past couple weeks...and now to another busy week filled with baby showers ( yup two of them), birthday celebrations, Bible study, school, youth group  and then to the highschool retreat...so if ya'll don't hear from us in awhile know that we are around just not around the computer!

I SO hear ya, Anna! I feel bad when it's a week in between posts, 'cause I was used to posting at least 2-3 times a week. Oh well, it just means our days are full of school, church, Bible Study, friends, and family time, right?:)

We need another girl's night just so we can catch up on eachother's lives!

Thank you, Anna!!! I know it takes so much time to blog. It's so fun for us to see your "daily" stuff. Poor Micah! Even with his black eye he is still so handsome. Josiah is a charmer as usual. And that Cami....oh, such a cute kid:) Love the babies all lined up. Now, Dan, that is a keeper....you in jammies! Reminds me of the 80's that's for sure! You probably had a pair similar to those!
