Less than 48 hours...

Dan and I got to go on a very short get away, but fun and relaxing and refreshing non the less!  We were so blessed to be given a chance to spend two evenings in a friends' parents condo in Bothell, WA and got our kids watched by two different families from church!  How fun for the kids too!  We didn't leave town til 4 p.m. on Thursday and by the time we had dinner and stopped a couple stores we didn't get to WA til 10:30 p.m.  Then of course we were up and ready out the door by 9 a.m. - we cannot sleep in after kids, it's such a bummer!  ;)  WE headed out to a park somewhere, and hiked for a few hours and did some geocaching...Dan's newest hobby...and poor guy he has AWFUL Poison Oak!  So after we headed back to the condo, got ready and headed to Seattle for only two hours, we just went to Pike's Market and that's about it, oh and we stopped by a mall for a bit, but it wasn't in Seattle.  By that time it was dinner time so we found a good little pizza place and had pizza...how romantic I know!  :) BUt it sounded good to both of us.  Then back to the condo, and got up the next morning and left at 9 a.m. again to head back home!  Like I said, it was a SHORT trip!  But really great to spend the time just the two of us, we haven't had the time lately just the two of us so it was great to spend it talking and getting all ready to go for this next school year in ministry!  God is good is has put friends in our lives that help and love and support us and we are SUPER thankful for them all!  THANK you all that helped us get away just the two of us!

It wasn't very clear weather while we were there...

self portrait...lame I KNOW...I thought I would show you how I spent my time waiting in the car while Dan went to look for a "cache" :)  I really did enjoy my time...just thought it'd be funny to show Dan how I was feeling :)

Pikes...nuf said!  It was Stinkin' crowded down there and HOT and humid...too many people, but we got a fresh peach, washed and cut and enjoyed it's juicy goodness! And of course found a cache down there..
I'm sure you know what that is...

Dan found a "treasure chest" cache...
My babe and me...Love this man! Poison oak and all! :) lol...wish I had a pic of what it did to his legs!
An "official" cache...wohoo...(sarcasm...)
Finding where we needed to go...we hiked a long time, it was  a BEAUTIFUL park and lots of trails...I was done after all the hiking and Caching though...needed to do a lil shopping...:)
But hey it was a great time...and I was with my man...that's all that matters!  And he shopped with me, so we just enjoyed that time together!  Hey there were no lil bambinos needing us at the time! :)

Oh come on now, Anna. Geocaching is supposed to fun and thrilling to find cool treasurers! :-)
That was so nice of the 2 families that watched the kids and nice for you two to have a break.
