Friday the day after Thanksgiving we loaded up the kids and took them to a tree farm that our friends the Acker's had told us about. They had some pretty good trees and for cheap too...so for those of you that live in California or other places that might charge a lot your going to be a little jealous of the price! It was only $10 for any douglas fir, no matter how tall! The Noble's were a little more, but we usually get a douglas.
Here are the kiddos all loaded up and ready to go...
Daddy and the boys...Cambria was on my back...ready to get a little dirty and find that perfect tree.
Dan getting ready to cut our tree down...it is a nice full tree and the branches are nice and thick...
Presenting...our Christmas tree...the kids and I
The kids, well I should say the boys, Cambria really had no idea what was going on, had a great time trampsing around out in the fields of trees trying to find that perfect tree...our feet got VERY muddy, but it was well worth it! It's so much fun to be able to get out as a family and have our own traditions as our family is so young!

Oh my gosh, I cannot believe it was $10 for ANY tree!! And SO much fun to go cut it down. We will be lucky this year if we get a crummy one from Home Depot for like...$40!! That is so cool that you guys start traditions and stuff. Fun!!
I'm glad you are creating these memories for the kids because years later these will be memories that will not be forgotten and when you get together they will say, "remember when........." :-)
Nice tree!!
I love the ta-dah!!! picture! Reminds me of a similar photo of our first tree cutting in Oregon. Dan was 8 years old! Oh, my, how time flies and things come around again! Enjoy these precious times.
So I copied your title on my blog! But I promise I already thought of it when we were cutting ours down-ask Leandra! :) Glad the tree farm worked out for you! I need to come over and look at it all decorated!
Fun times! I'm sure the boys loved helping pick out a tree and get muddy too. :) And 'Siah makes such a cute elf in the Thanksgiving post. :)
