A Gorgeous weekend and Scrumptious Delights

So we had a beautiful sunny weekend, Friday we spent cleaning up the garage, we got a big piece of carpet remnant and put our weigh bench, treadmill and train table out there, it is our new play area and workout center! It's amazing how much stuff we have now and how much we have accumulated after being here almost 4 years and 3 children later! Friday night, I went to a baby shower for a friend from church, there was a total of 4 baby showers this month...one I ended up not going to because of all the busyness...there is definitely a LOT of babies being born lately...don't drink the water at our church! Ha! Anyways, it is fun to see all the cute clothes though!

Saturday, my parents called and invited us over to help/watch make apple cider! So I got the kiddos ready and we headed over there...it was fun! What is better than being outside in the cold crisp air, the sun shining and drinking apple cider yumminess (I know it's not a word)! What a fun FALL DAY!! Here are some picture of our experience...they are out of order but I don't have the time to switch all the pictures around.

Cambria enjoying the DELICIOUS muffin/donut things my mom made!

Micah enjoying a muffin too...I don't even know how many he ate!  But it was a lot!  :)
Micah, cousin Hannah and Josiah doing "Cheers" with their scrumptious apple cider!

This is where the kids put the apples in at, and then my dad would turn the handle to grind the apples up.  There were a LOT of apples!

David and my Mom straining the juice after grinding the apples...we even added some pears to the mix...um, it's the BEST apple cider I have ever tasted! All Natural!

I stuck Cambria in the backpack to hang out and watch...she LOVED being outside in the cool air...she was a very good girl!  She was only in the back pack though for an hour because then she got too heavy in it!

After the apples were grinded they pushed this thing down to squish the juice out of the apples...what an amazing process!

The apple juices coming out...

My Dad and Micah putting apples in...

Josiah putting the apples in...
My parents ended up with a little over 21 gallons of apple cider...Hmmm...I know what we will be drinking when we go to visit! :)  We also got to bring one home to enjoy and boy have we been enjoying it!  What a scrumptious and sunny day we got to enjoy! :)

Fun times! I'll have to get copies of those pics from you! Cami looks so much like Micah in the pic of her on your back...a good cross between the 2 boys! :)

I know I already talked to you in person, but I don't want it ever said that I don't leave comments. Ha! I think your Dad should sell some of this next year. We'd buy some! Looks like you had a great time. Cute kids as always!
