Beginning of October

October brings fall, one of my most favorite seasons of the year! I love clear, crisp days with leaves falling, but still can smell the fresh cut grass! I don't necessarily love the rainy, dreary fall days, but getting a candle or my scentsy burning that helps take care of the dreariness!
We haven't had much time to get out and take pictures because life has been so busy with the boys at school, home projects (pictures to come on that one) and church ministry! It's always a challenge, at least for me, to get back into the swing of school starting, which means setting standards on how much tv, Wii, DS time for the boys, time set aside for reading, homework and club Rock Salt (our kids program at church), and for bedtimes to be set at an earlier time! Another challenge I'm finding is keeping my boys fed...meaning they want to eat often...growing you ask...yes they are! I measured Micah the other day, who just turned 5 in June and he is 1 whole inch taller than Josiah was at 6, who is now 7 years old! I love it though, I love taking care of my family and finding fun new crafts and projects to do with them! I love hearing their sweet voices sing praises, making/inventing new things and just being crazy lil people!! They are so excited for some trick or treating and getting pumpkins! And today even started cutting out pictures of the ads for their Christmas lists...never too early to start that! :) Just a lil update on our lives...and a few pictures, that are almost a year old ( I apologize), but they look "fall-like" to me! Until I get some new pictures of the kiddos!!

My girl and me! We love our girl time! :)

Fun times at the park!

Happy Fall...and hopefully the next time I blog it will be with some new updated pictures of our fall right now! :)

I'll be anxious to see what's on their Christmas lists! Even tho' older photos it's still fun to see them again! I remember the day we took Cami to get her picture taken in her boots! Fun Memories! Happy Fall!

I SO understand your feelings with all the stuff our kids are supposed to be doing! It's a new era of parenting with homework, sports, church stuff... It feels like this year is WAY harder than it has been yet. Probably since now we have 2 kids with homework and in the older group of kids at church, etc... We have piano lessons/practice and soccer on top of that! Whew.. I get tired just thinking about it. One day at a time... :)
