A first graders Thanksgiving Feast

Today I got the privilege of being able to go help in Josiah's classroom with their Thanksgiving Feast! Josiah has been talking about it non-stop and super excited about the big day!! Another mom and myself got to set up all the food...they had turkey (which was freshly sliced lunch meat from the deli), mash potatoes and gravy, corn, bean, rolls, grapes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. It was quite the feast! The kids had each made a special placemats, remember the ones you probably made when you were in elementary school...that you weaved the different colors through and then were laminated?? :) And then their paper bag costumes to be an indian and pilgrim...most of which were indians! They were all so excited and it was super cute!! The teach also had them raise their hands and they got to share 5 things they were thankful for! Such a fun time and great memories for these kids!

Here is the table that Josiah sits at!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!! What are some things you are thankful for??

I am so thankful for blogs which allow me to see from across the country what you are doing. I am thankful for a wonderful daughter in law who updates faithfully knowing we love to see the kiddos. I am thankful for such sweet grandchildren. Josiah looks so happy and proud! Table cloths even!!!

So neat that the kids can do this and make a memory for themselves what Thanksgiving is all about.
