Soccer Time!

It's begun...SOCCER time!

Our first sporting team event in the family...Josiah is our little soccer player! What fun! :) We would have had two games by now, but due to the wonderful rain they were postponed. So after two practices we finally got to have a game! They play 3 on 3 and no goalies and they don't keep score...Josiah seems to really enjoy it and quite entertaining to watch these lil guys play! Today they played another little boy that goes to our church on the opposing team, so that was fun! Also, our little friend Avery was on the girls' team that was playing on the field next to them so it was fun to watch her play too!

Here's the coach Scott with the team Eagles...there are 7 little boys on the team...they each get equal playing time which is great...you can really tell which ones have played in the fall!

Our soccer star!

We had a great cheering squad!
Uncle Mike came...

My parents... and Melinda and Andy also came but I didn't get a pic...sorry Mels!

Our friends Josh and Lynn's son Tucker is also on 'Siah's team, so it's fun to stand on the sidelines and cheer with friends too! Thanks to those that made it out and watched the fun entertainment! :)

Team huddle...now isn't this cute...'Siah is facing the camera so you can't see his face! :)

And while on the sidelines waiting his turn Josiah needed to kick back and relax...

Some playing time...(notice how small the goals are...too cute! )

A little action...

A little breather on the sideline...

Hmmm....guess he felt the need to do some somersaults and trying to do a handstand a little more quality time on the sideline..:)

And he kicks...

Go, go go!!! :) I had to try not to get too competitive since I used to play soccer, so I had to tell myself they are just learning! :)

All the players at the end ran through a tunnel all the parents made....

Our littlest cheerleader...also had to provide some entertainment for enjoyment...
What a fun time! And it didn't even rain on us! Looking forward to more games in the future!

Looks like such a fun day! I'm sorry we weren't able to come. I think the look on Josiah's face where he's relaxing with the soccer balls looks totally like Dan!

Such fun pics! I love the one of him relaxing with the soccer balls. Wish I could have made it...hopefully I can come to one soon!

great pictures! I actually think the goals being smaller doesn't make any sense - they should be bigger and offer an easier target for those little kids, rather than so much smaller. We had fun, too. I love soccer season!!
