Earlier last week we decided to go spend the night at the coast for a family day, since there was a new geocaching challenge in Lincoln City that started on Saturday in the morning, so we reserved a yurt at Devils Lake Campground for Friday night. We headed out by 9 a.m. on Friday morning and so glad we did because it was a GORGEOUS day at the coast...the highs were 60 degrees and barely any wind! I know I was a little worried how camping might be in February at the coast, but hey why not give it a try!
"To infinity and infinity"...Micah says! :)(In case you don't know it's supposed to be "To infinity and beyond!") Don't you like how he had to have Buzz buckled up with him! :)
I think this will be fun idea every year we go to the coast to do...write their names and take a picture with them above it! :)
Little miss...if you click on the picture to enlarge it you can see her funny face she is making and then sticking her belly out! :)
Cami threw sand..some ended up getting flung into her mouth...then decided that it tasted good and proceeded to pick it up bit by bit after that and eat it...gross! Maybe it's the salty taste she likes?
Trying to catch up with her bros. This girl can run and not get tired!
Ok, she got a little tired..."Daddy, Daddy, UP" she said with her arms stretched up to Dan! So sweet!
Yaquina Light House. The boys and Dan went up to the top...the boys climbed all the stairs, I can't remember how many, but there were quite a few! Cami was too small so her and I stayed and ran around the lighthouse
We got to our yurt around 4:30 p.m. and started a fire up so we could roast our hotdogs and smores...

I've ALWAYS wanted to stay in a yurt!! Super fun pics - looks like you guys had a great time!! PS I love your brown hat you're wearing in the campfire pictures - too cute! :)
Josiah looks ssoooo old in the "happy" picture! It looks like you had a lot of fun! I haven't been to the beach in so long!:(
What fun pictures! I'm so glad you guys got such good weather on Friday! Let's go camping together and we can all stay in yurts-I like the heat! :)
Fun! We'll have to try a yurt sometime...I like the idea of that MUCH better than a tent! I didn't know you had that brown hat...I got a blue one (I'm wearing it in the snow pics) just like it. We think too much alike. :)
FUN! FUN! FUN!
Why have WE never done that in the winter??!!!
I've never stayed in a yurt but have been wanting to try it. (Tents can get SO COLD.):)
