Happy 4th of July!!

So here's to the 4th of July! Cheers! Although we didn't have a lot happening, we did! Does that make any sense? :) So our day started out ok, we have a leaky toilet in our room, so Dan spent the morning pulling up the floor and taking the toilet out while I took the kiddos to the park down the street! They were having soo much fun playing; and then we were starting to go a different route home and Josiah started screaming; I thought he saw a snake or a bug or something, but wouldn't calm down, so I went over to him, and there was blood on his ear and he was holding it with his hand...he said a bee stung him. We think it might have been a wasp though to draw blood. So we went home, 'Siah in the stroller with Cami and Micah walkign terribly slow behind us. We finally made it home, his poor lil ear was swollen a lil bit so we applied ice and it went away. So of course now he's freaked out when he sees any bug thinking it's going to sting him. :) Sigh! So then after naps and grocery shopping we headed to Dave and Jan Hansen's house from church to spend the 4th there with a bunch of people...we had a lot of fun and the boys had a GREAt time with all the kids there! There was a ton of yummy food...and Amanda I promise I didn't eat too much! :) (Can't wait to start jogging again next week! :) They had some squirt guns there which Micah was having a blast with; squirting whoever, even though he didn't know them. The kids and Dan had a water fight, I was thankfully inside. Let's see, oh yah the boys at one point were all out in the front and they were running around, well micah stopped and 'Si didn't and bulldozed him over, not meaning too..and Micah fell on the cement head first and got a nice scrape.

Here's Linda Walker with sweet Cambria! She LOVES holding babies! Cambria enjoyed her a lot too! And was quite content in her arms!

Here's Amanda MacCollin posing so sincere for the camera! Haha! She's a funny gal! It was fun to catch up with her, especially since we're not with the highschoolers as much!

Micah on a toy four wheeler thing, the boys also got to drive a motorized toy gator around; which I didn't get pics of because I was inside with a sleeping Cami. Grandpa Wayne would have been so proud!

After we were done at the Hansens' they headed down to the Waterfront Park to watch the fireworks at 10p.m. but our kids were tired and grumpy, so we went home and did some sparklers. Here's Cambria and I watching! Only Micah, me and Dan would do the sparklers, 'Si was scared and would only watch! He didn't really care for the loud fireworks that they neighbors behind us were doing. Or wherever they were coming from!

So of course we couldn't end the day without another accident. you probably all think I am an awful mom...well, I had told 'Si to get his shoes on when we were going outside to do the sparklers, well, Micah was already out there with Dan and he was holding one already, well after the sparkler was finished he took a step and stepped right on the part of the sparkler that had fallen off and got a small burn on his foot! YIKES! poor kid! We took the right steps and put cold on it, cleaned it with Neosporin stuff and bandaged it up...He can't really step on it at all! Needless to say we gave him Tylenol last night and Cami too because she's been teething and awfully fussy. So they slept GREAT! We went inside and watched the fireworks on tv, they are much safeR! :) Then off to bed they went! Dan and I ended the evening with a movie...it was great to just relax! Someday our kids will be old enough to enjoy the evening a lil more! And stay up later!

Happy 4th of July everybody!

What a fun post! I was laughing inside :) Your poor little boys, but they are super tough! Scary about the bee sting. I would be terrified. Hopefully all is well with their "owies" now! And I'm gonna need a push to get me out of bed Monday morning to run! Eeek :)

Looks like a fun...but painful 4th...cute Cambria in her 4th of July outfit! Poor Micah's feet! Maybe it's a good thing he always wants his shoes on! And poor Josiah....bees or wasps or yellow jackets...they all hurt terribly! Glad you all had a fun time with friends! Love to all!
